“Change at Your Fingers Tips”
Sessions with Sonia are a therapeutic and educational experience to help with current issues and provide the client with the skills to ensure that change is longterm and sustainable. This is not a “quick fix” wand waving exercise, however, change can occur rapidly without the need for long emotional digs or a large number of visits.
Most sessions last between 90 minutes and 2 hours and involve dealing with the causes of issues without the need for clients to talk at length or in depth about their problems.
Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) and Metaphors of Movement (MoM) are the foundation modalities which help clients to resolve issues and problems rapidly, especially those that are keeping them stuck and unable to move in a desired direction for change.
Discovering the Patterns of Chronicity that may be underlying these issues, is crucial for change. This approach also has a unique model that involves how current issues affect our sense of self i.e. identity. How we identify with the issue(s) can lead to unwanted or unhelpful beliefs that creates problematic behaviours.
Identity based statements such as “I hate myself”, “Their behaviour upsets me”, “You just can’t trust anyone can you?”, “I can’t seem to find myself”, “I am a smoker; alcoholic; a procrastinator” etc and other such identity based dialogue, can fly past very quickly and are often overlooked by therapists as just part of an explanation of an issue.
This language is very deeply involved with identity and I am skilled in observing and listening for this and in helping people deal with such issues. I teach clients to understand how this is ingrained into their language and beliefs which contributes to their sense of self which may be negative and unhelpful. We then find positive solutions to deal with this, which provides a huge momentum towards change.
Everyone is an individual and so sessions are based around a client’s individual needs, thus some sessions may also include Hypnotherapy, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Mindfulness and Life Coaching as is appropriate to you.
Occasionally physical therapies such as Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Therapeutic Massage will be suggested in which I am also fully qualified and insured.
Numbers of sessions
This will vary depending on the range of issues a person needs to deal with, but this is not counselling or psychotherapy and thus I work to create real change in a minimal amount of sessions.
Skype or FaceTime sessions are also possible for some clients depending on the issues involved and the modalities to be used.
This is 45 minutes and available in person, via Skype/FaceTime, or telephone.
